Iris Lambert
Irie Yoga Teacher, 200 hr. Yoga Teacher Training Director and Scheduling Extraordinaire

Iris specializes in Yoga, Thai Massage and Elemental Lifestyle Coaching. She met Swami Satchidananda when she was singing and dancing in Hair on Broadway in 1969. This was the beginning of her life changing.  She began teaching yoga in 1972 in Sausalito, California and received Massage Certification in 1978. Ashtanga Vinyasa became her home practice.  More recently Iris has learned alignment from Anusara and creative sequencing from Shiva Rea. Learn more about Iris: Click Here


Kara Weimer
Himalayan Vinyasa Krama, Meditation & Yoga Nidra Teacher

With a background in dance, Kara has been studying yoga and the healing arts for over twenty two years and teaching since 2003. She has trained extensively with Himalayan yoga adepts in ancient esoteric disciplines using the breath as the guide for transformation and self empowerment.  She specializes in a rare system of yoga, Himalayan Vinyasa Krama taught by her Satguru Swami Vidyadhishananda,  a Himalayan Monk, Kriya Yogi and Vedic/Sanskrit scholar, and was transmitted to Srivatsa Ramaswami by Krishnamacharya for over 33 years and mentor Pam Johnson, one of Ramaswami’s first American students. Liz Levy
Mindful Vinyasa Yoga Teacher

Alive Yoga was founded by yoga teacher and body-worker extraordinaire, Liz Levy. She leads an incredible Mindful Vinyasa Class on Friday mornings and offers bodywork throughout the week. Liz discovered yoga and bodywork simultaneously back in 1989, and has been passionate about supporting others as they discover their path to presence and joy ever since! Luis Briceno
Hatha/Iyengar Yoga Teacher

Luis’ philosophy of how to live a healthy life encourages him to remain active throughout the day while using yoga and massage practices to support his body, achieve optimal performance, free his body from stress and tensions and, ultimately, bringing true happiness into his life. Speaking of true happiness, Luis is the father of an adorable 6 year girl. He is certified in children’s yoga and enjoys introducing students to yoga and eastern philosophy. Mary Kate
Vinyasa and Kundalini Yoga Teacher

MK had the great fortune of meeting her spiritual teacher, Gurudass Kaur, and beginning her yoga journey while living in Barcelona in 2001.  She began teaching Kundalini Yoga in 2007 and more recently Vinyasa yoga, which she studied under the vast teachings of Iris Lambert.  She teaches the Wednesday 9:15 All Levels Vinyasa Flow, where she offers a strong flow while incorporating Kundalini Yogic techniques when applicable.  MK feels fortunate to have landed in West County where she lives with her daughter and husband.  You can find her videos on YouTube at @namastayMK.

Molly Klaproth
Vinyasa Yoga Teacher

Molly began her yoga journey while on the path of dance. From the first class, first sustained breath, first transcendent experience of meditation she was forever changed. It was a new found freedom, a healing. The overuse and abuse of the body while performing professionally had finally found balance, not only physically but spiritually. She’s dedicated 21 years to teaching dance and the last 14 years teaching yoga as well. Yogic knowledge, applied with her studies of kinesthetics, anatomy, and physics all contribute to a strong foundation from which students can benefit indefinitely.


Samuel Shin
Meditation Teacher

Meditation class at Alive Yoga is offered bi-weekly on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month from 6-7:30pm led by Samuel. The evening includes a 40-min sit followed by a brief talk and time for questions/discussion. Samuel’s approach to meditation is aimed at helping people relax and rest in the wisdom of the body and heart. Meditation transforms our lives and our identities so we become more fully present, available and authentic in the world. Please bring your own cushion or chair if possible. One can be provided for you, but options are limited.
